Alexander Muss High School In Israel
I went on the muss semester this past fall ( fall 2022) and it absolutely changed my life. I made such good friends and had an amazing time living independently in a new country. Beyond that, however, I feel as though my time in Israel has truly shaped the person I am today. I developed a strong Jewish identity and connection to my history and roots. Today, many Jews feel as though they do not have the context for religious and cultural practices, or even the basis of core Jewish values. My time in israel, however, gave me that context and allowed me to struggle with big ideas regarding religion, identity, and historical conflict. To anyone debating going on an AMHSI program, my advice to you would be to just do it! Throw yourself out there because at the end of the day, you will grow no matter what and have such special and unique experiences.

SADIE WOLF
BBYO Smmer Program- CLTC
I attended CLTC 8 in 2019, and it forever changed my BBYO experience. At first, I was nervous to spend almost two weeks in the middle of nowhere in Wisconsin with 85 strangers, but these “strangers” soon became some of my best friends. I spent those 12 days staying up late laughing with my roommates, hanging out in my hammock at chofesh, and learning more about other regions. We had mock chapters and boards, so we explored the ins and outs of chapter leadership while having the opportunity to create and lead programs. Even a year and a half after CLTC, I still keep in touch with my friends that I met there. I learned from CLTC the importance of being connected with other Jewish teens, and even if they live across the country, I know they are only a facetime away.
